When Michel Ange Lau invented LeRoc (Modern Jive) back in the late 1970s, little did he know that it would end up being one of the most popular forms of partner dance in the new millennium.

At ijig, we have developed his original idea to incorporate other dance styles into the Modern Jive dance such as Salsa, West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop to provide a form of Modern Jive with fresh funky modern moves that rock.

Modern Jive is a stylish partner dance that is so easy to learn that it's perfect for people with 'two left feet' and is so versatile that it can be danced to virtually any music that you hear on the radio or in clubs.
